Where Is The Sims 4 Mods Folder

  • Identifying the problematic mod can be as easy as deleting the last mod you've downloaded, if the problem cropped up after that. Paste your Mods folder back into your Sims 4 folder and then sort your files by Date Modified. Delete the most recent mod/CC and restart your game, play for a few minutes and see if your game works.
  • How To Create Mods Subfolders in Sims 4 You can create subfolders in your MODS folder in order to sort the custom content for easy management by editing the resource.cfg file. Before you begin, make sure you make a backup copy of the resource.cfg file you find in your Mods folder and save it to your desktop (or some other place you can remember).

The sims 4 mods folder maxis match

Sep 24, 2015. Sims 4 Mods.mod folder name.mod files. Note: You can also try another workaround where you place the entire mods folder in another folder and place it in the main mod directory. This is a long shot but it worked for several people due to unknown reasons.

The Sims 4 Mods Folder Download

  • The Electronic Arts folder in your documents is wehre your saves will be. If you haven't generated save data yet, it may not yet be there. I do not know about how safe it would be to move the entire game to a location like that or not.
  • I've played the game for hours and still no folder in my documents. I would really love to know where they are going...
    Thank you though, cupcake..err, donut!

Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims4 > lots of subfolders, including Tray (that's your Library content) and Saves. Make sure you're looking in the right Documents folder: Libraries > Documents > My Documents, not Public Documents.

  • That was the problem, Luthienrising! I kept thinking I was in my documents, but it was the public ones. I actually had to click on my name, silly me. Thank you so much .

  • I'm having the same problem. I'm looking in My Documents, and under the Electronic Arts folder, there's only a folder for The Sims 4 CAS Demo. No Sims 4 folder.

  • Copy and paste the following in the address bar in Windows Explorer:
This will work on all Window OSes from Win XP to Win 8.1. (For Vista and above, 'My Documents' is just a link to the shortened 'Documents' folder; they kept it for backwards compatibility reasons.)
  • Still nothing. The folder just doesn't exist. Maybe I should reinstall.
  • I can find it when looking for a save area for files on different programs, but not when I'm actually looking in Windows Explorer.

There are multiple folders called something like 'Documents' in Windows. You might just be looking in the wrong one.
I get there via Libraries > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims4. But you can get to the same place via Local Disk (C:) > Users > your user name > My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims4.

Okay, I have Windows 10. Every time I try to open MY Documents, it says I don't have permission to. I've tried editing it in properties but I don't know what to do. I always have 'Quick Access' so I immediately click on Documents > Electronic Arts but the issue is I've downloaded 2 expansion packs for sims 3 and the sims 3, but only sims 3 appears. It's strange because I'm currently downloading The Sims 4 and I only find it in the Origin Games files. If I play it, does it go in Electronic Arts? Also, I have the Disc 1 and Disc 2 since I didn't buy it on Origin, and used a product code. I enabled both desktop icon and start menu icon for the game, if that has anything to do with it. I've only realized this now and I've had many problems installing and uninstalling The Sims 3, so I'm surprised the right files are in Electronic Arts. WHAT DO I DO?

    Hello.
When you play Sims 4 for the first time, a sims 4 folder will be generated in Documents-Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder will be there.
This is where the sims 3 eps are located in origin.
