Job Summary

Amentum has an immediate opening for a Unit Mail Postal Handler-Carrier in Kuwait.

Perform a variety of duties which include operating the mailroom in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD), US Army, US Postal Service (USPS) and Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:• Distribute mail to appropriate recipients or departments• Maintain record of incoming mail• Count and record inventory items• Assist in filing and archiving documents.• Perform data entry activities• Maintain adequate mailroom supplies• Replenish supply of post office forms

Minimum Requirements

Education:• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:• 1 - 3 years of experience in military APO, Fleet Post Office (FPO), or USPS operations preferred.• Similar experience in the customer service field preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managedefficiently and accurately.• Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.• Must be able to anticipate internal client needs.• Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

Certification, License & Clearance:• Secret Clearance is required.• Must be a U.S. Citizen.• Current valid driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:• Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
